Headmasters Letter
The purpose of this bulletin is to highlight the academic successes of the pupils at Mill Hill School both in public examinations and in the subsequent university
careers.
Recently, we commissioned Warwickers to conduct a study to follow up points raised in last year’s MORI survey. It is clear from this that our parents continue to be happy with the direction the school is taking. A majority of the parents who were interviewed believe that academic standards have improved since 1998. Indeed only 2% felt that standards had fallen. Certainly, competition for places at Mill Hill has been keener this year than at any time in recent years. We are delighted to be welcoming 111 new 4th formers and 56 new Lower 6th formers.
External demand for Lower 6th places has been particularly strong, with many citing our successful implementation of co-education as the reason for making their choice. 20% of our pupils are now girls and we are confident that this will rise to 25% next
year.
The total number of pupils in the three Foundation Schools now tops 1100. With our extensive grounds, excellent staff/pupil ratio and recognised strength in pastoral care, we believe that we now are one of the driving forces in co-education in
London.
Yours sincerely

William Winfield
